PM Pedro Sánchez has said Spain will ‘recognise the existence of the Palestinian state’ on May 28, along with Norway and Ireland.
He stated on Wednesday that this will be done ‘for justice, coherence and for peace’.
The Israeli government has recalled its ambassador from Madrid and asked for a meeting with Spain’s ambassador in Israel, Ana Solomon.
