Greenpeace has calculated that oil companies have made an extra €3.3 billion in Europe due to the rise in prices which followed the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
They noted that in Spain alone these companies are raking in an extra €7.6 million a day ‘while the general public suffer record prices at petrol stations’.
