Following unsubstantiated reports in UK tabloids about Spanish police looking to round up Britons who are in the country illegally, the British Embassy has issued an ‘update for UK nationals’ in the country.
In a press release sent out this week they noted: “If you arrived in Spain before January 1 you must take steps to become resident if you consider your home to be here”
