The Valencia region has proposed that the new normality law (Ley de Nueva Normalidad) – which came into force last week – should be adapted to allow for face masks to be taken off while people are sunbathing or having a swim at beaches.
The new national law obliges people to wear a face mask in almost all cases when they are in public areas.
