Despite nearing the end of January, the unseasonably warm weather here on the Costa Blanca attracted hoards to the beaches over the weekend. As many parts of the UK froze – literally, the thermometer nudged 24C on Levante beach on Sunday afternoon and the suntan lotions, swimwear and parasols came out of storage.
Those here on holiday couldn’t quite believe their luck, experiencing such glorious sunshine, which is forecast to stay until the weekend.
