A CRITICAL fundraising and membership push launched by Marbella’s Triple A animal shelter late last month has so far been met with “overwhelming support”, especially from the foreign-resident community, according to the centre’s management.
Memberships have been boosted by over 50% and donations have been pouring in to a GoFundMe campaign, though much more is still needed, said Jan Weima, one of Triple A’s founding members. The shelter, which has operating costs of €30,000 a month, was on the verge of having to close its doors when it put out the appeal, he told CDSN.
