ESTEPONA town hall last week announced it has launched a free prostate cancer screening programme for local men over 45 years old. The new service, provided by the town hall through an arrangement with local private clinics, comes in addition to the gynaecological and breast cancer screening already provided for local women.
The schemes, aimed at early detection of common cancers, are available to registered (‘empadronado’) residents of the town, and allow them to receive the screening tests without having to travel to the Costa del Sol hospital in Marbella, said officials.
