With more rain falling in just 48 hours than throughout the whole of 2016 along the Costa Blanca, the River Segura overflowed around Orihuela and some areas of Murcia. A 65-year-old man drowned in La Cala Finestrat after being washing into sea by a flash flood. School was cancelled in 43 town in Alicante province today (Monday).
