TORREMOLINOS has been carrying out conservation work on a complex of Roman ruins in the La Cizaña zone of Los Álamos and is taking measures to protect them from development work that is getting underway in the area.
The archaeological site was first discovered in the 1960s when two food-salting basins were uncovered, while later work revealed part of a Roman baths complex and a pottery production facility with two large ovens and a storage area, dating from the first century BC, said town hall officials.
