One of the main reasons for scrapping the quarantine for British citizens visiting Spain from today (June 21) is the fact that over 400,000 UK citizens own holiday homes in Spain.
Foriegn Affairs minister Arancha González Laya told BBC News:°We are doing this out of respect for the 400,000 British citizens that have a second residence in Spain and are dying to benefit from their homes in our country.”
