Permission has been denied for a large solar plant with 12,000 panels planned for rural land off the CV-905 dual carriageway close to the municipal border between Torrevieja and Los Montesinos.
The installations covering 83,000 square metres would have been capable of producing 6,000 KW of energy, according to a council notice.
