Thee regional government has turned down an application to set up a large solar farm in Orihuela’s rural district of Torremendo.
Orihuela town hall said Valencia had accepted the objections it registered against it.
The plant would have also had infrastructure passing through Orihuela, Almoradí, San Miguel de Salinas and Los Montesinos to transfer the power it generated.
