THE Partido Popular’s Ángeles Muñoz was voted in as Marbella’s mayor on Tuesday as expected, following a successful ouster vote against socialist PSOE mayor José Bernal.
Sra Muñoz was the town’s mayor for two consecutive terms, from 2007 to 2015, but was displaced following the 2015 elections when the PP was the most-voted party but fell one seat shy of an absolute majority, allowing the PSOE to take power at the head of a tripartite government.
