The now-regular checks for unauthorised vehicles carrying passengers at Alicante-Elche airport caught another three so-called ‘pirate taxis’ last week.
One of these was a taxi driver from Torrevieja whose transport card had not been renewed since 2017, and as a result nor had his meter been inspected.
