Residents living at the edge of La Mata-Torrevieja natural park had to be evacuated when a fire spread quickly towards their homes on Sunday afternoon.
According to the provincial fire brigade, 15 people were told to leave five houses while fire fighters tried to prevent the flames from reaching the houses.
