A COSTA Blanca Vitaldent dental practice was raided and its former sales director arrested on Tuesday as police cracked down on a multimillion fraud against the tax office and local franchisees.
Thousands of Costa Vitaldent patients and franchise holders have been left in limbo following the arrest of owner Erneto Colman in Madrid and 12 other members of Vitaldent management – including the Torrevieja detainee – on Tuesday.
The arrests are the result of a two-year tax office investigation triggered by official complaints filed by franchisees. It is alleged that Sr Colman has defrauded them and the tax office around €10million.
