THE TENDER for the remodelling of tram station platforms for Line 9 between Benidorm and Dénia has been authorised, but it is clear that there will now been further delays to the opening of the line, as the works have a maximum execution time of 15 months, taking the date to June next year.
The platforms of Line 9 were built for the old diesel trains which required high access points. These are not compatible with the new trams that have been ordered, and will need to be rebuilt.
