Members of the commission responsible for organising the celebrations of the centenary of the fishermen’s guild confirmed on Wednesday that they will not be hosting a ‘bous a la mar’ (running of bulls into the sea) event.
They expressed their surprise at the controversy that has arisen in recent days because ‘the possibility of holding the bous a la mar had not been raised at any of their previous meetings’.
