AN ONGOING drive by local town halls to have the Sierra de Mijas y Alpujata declared an official nature park has received a new push after the Alhaurín de la Torre council unanimously passed a motion supporting the move.
The motion urges the Junta de Andalucía to launch the formal process that would lead to the declaration, including the drafting of a Natural Resources Management Plan.
