THE queue of people snaking around the Palacio de Buenavista, home to the Museo Picasso Málaga, in the city’s old quarter, is a regular sight these days and not unexpected given that the museum drew almost 636,000 people to its doors last year making it once again the most visited museum in Andalucía.
This record number, greater than the total population of the Costa del Sol capital and almost 14% more than 2016’s figures, is no fluke but the reward for an unceasing cultural programme that includes not only art but also concerts, talks, film cycles, and workshops for both adults and children.
