CAMPAIGNERS calling for the construction of a new motorway to improve communications between Málaga and Ronda have had their hopes dashed, after the Junta de Andalucía said that the project is not in its plans, according to leaders of the Podemos political party.
Alejandro Serrato, the party’s provincial coordinator, said that during a meeting between Podemos representatives and the Junta’s public works delegate for Málaga, Francisco Fernández España, the message from the regional government was that a new motorway is “not on the agenda”, due to a lack of money and current plans to work only on road improvements.
