A BATTLE by a group of parched towns in the area north of Antequera to get water piped in from the Iznájar reservoir in Córdoba will go to the regional parliament today, September 8.
The socialist PSOE party, which is floating the motion, says the majority of the 12 towns in the zone depend solely on underground aquifers for their water, and in recent years these have “dropped alarmingly, which has caused a significant drop in the quality of the water”.
