NINETEEN people in 11 provinces have been identified as suspects in a National Police crackdown on fraudulent pension claims.

Investigators who reviewed 27 cases and interviewed 62 people have concluded that a total of more than €1.9 million has been defrauded from the National Social Security Institute’s coffers in this way.
