A KITE surfer from Torrevieja was injured on Tuesday afternoon by a garfish while he was riding the waves.
In an incident described by Torrevieja town hall biologist, Juan Antonio Pujol as ‘quite unusual’, the fish’s needle became lodged in the surfer’s ankle.
