THIS winter’s flu outbreak began earlier than in other years and it has already claimed five victims.
In Elda, two women and a man, all over 80 years of age, succumbed to the virus this past weekend, although all three had other chronic health problems, and another two elderly patients in Alicante, again with chronic ailments, also passed away after catching the virus.
