A 44-YEAR-old man died in a Málaga hospital two weeks ago after having waited five hours in an A&E department following a stroke, it was revealed last week. Health authorities say that protocols for such cases are now under review.
The victim’s family have explained that he felt unwell at work and went to a local pharmacy where he was advised to go to hospital. He attended the A&E department at Antequera Hospital on January 11 where, they claim, he received no medical attention despite suffering a severe headache, high blood pressure and disorientation.
