A MAJOR drug-trafficking gang headquartered in Málaga that shipped huge amounts of hashish and marijuana across Europe in a multi-million-euro operation had been broken up by the Guardia Civil and French authorities.
In a statement, the Spanish force said that Operación Carisma had “completely dismantled a criminal organisation” that was run in Spain by a Moroccan national in Fuengirola, who acquired hashish from suppliers in Morocco and marijuana from two branches of the criminal gang based in Granada dedicated to growing “large quantities” of the drug.
