Even though Denia and Manises healthcare departments are reverting to public control, the ‘Elx-Crevillent’ department – which includes Vinalopó hospital and also covers north Orihuela, Hondón de las Nieves, Hondón de los Frailes and Aspe – will continue to be run by a private company.
A press statement from the Valencia government notes that their reports ‘advise’ that they should continue with the concession operated by the Ribera Salud healthcare group ‘as long as the quality is maintained and they continue to invest in technology’.
