REGIONAL rail operator FGV is set to meet with a number of animal associations and consumer groups to discuss allowing dogs on the Tram system in Alicante province.
FGV bosses admitted this week that Madrid and Barcelona already allow dogs to travel on trains – but before any decision is made, consultation with a number of groups has to take place.
A railway spokesman said there were two main points of concern, one being hygiene and the other passenger security.
