A 20-YEAR-old Marbella man who is battling a second bout of leukaemia has become an online champion for bone marrow donation.
Pablo Ráez wrote a heartfelt open letter on Facebook on Sunday, and by Wednesday of this week the post had been shared more than 60,000 times and generated over 14,000 comments. Titled ‘Siempre fuerte, siempre’ (‘Always strong, always’), the letter, written from Málaga’s Carlos Haya hospital where Pablo is receiving treatment while awaiting a matching donor, starts with the phrase: “I invite you to waste, or invest, a few minutes in reading this.”
