The regional government is taking action to ‘mitigate the extraordinary crisis situation’ that cherry growers are suffering in Alicante province.
They are stumping up a total of €1.7 million in aid for farmers and producing a plan to combat their ‘difficulties’.
Cherry farmers in the province have seen their crops decimated in recent years.
