THE CABINET will tomorrw (Friday) approve new measures to fight fiscal fraud, including a new limit on payments in cash to €1,000.
Currently, cash payments for goods or services can be made up to amounts of €2,500 – but from January 1, all payments of more than €1,000 will have to be made via traceable means – namely credit cards, cheques or bank transfers.
