LONG-AWAITED major repairs on the railway line between Dénia and Calpe are set to be carried out, meaning trains will soon no longer have to travel at a snail’s pace.
Gaps in the track and broken parts have meant the Dénia-Alicante train has had to slow to a crawl through the Marina Alta for safety reasons, meaning the trip to Benidorm – less than 40 minutes by car – takes over two hours.
