FOURTH jabs to protect against Covid-19 will start in Spain on September 26, minister for health Carolina Darias has revealed.
The vaccinations will initially be offered to people aged 80 and over and residents living in care homes, she said.
The date was set by the national committee for public health, which also decided that this year’s flu jab campaign will begin on October 17.
Sra Darias explained that during September her department will receive 10 million doses of the Covid-19 inoculation which is adapted to the Omicron variant of the disease.
These doses will be used as ‘boosters’ to reinforce people’s defences against Covid-19.
