On Wednesday morning, the platform group Neighbours in Action for Benidorm submitted a petition to the town hall calling for increased police presence, with particular reference to the Rincón de Loix.
Carolina Cutillas, Rosi Nikolova and Fransisco Orozco presented the collection of 1,040 signatures and have been continually putting pressure on the authorities to sit up and listen to the local business owners and workers who maintain that their livelihoods are being affected by the crime taking place daily.
