Thousands gathered today in Barcelona to remember the 16 killed in the August 17 2017 jihadist attacks in Las Ramblas and Cambrils. This first anniversary tribute was attended by King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, PM Pedro Sánchez, regional president Quim Torra and Barcelona mayoress Ada Colau.
As the photo shows, authorities were place in second row, the first taken by the victims and their families to avoid political issues regarding the independence bid of Cataluña.
