BRITISH people resident in Spain are advised to ensure they are correctly registered to vote in next year’s local elections in May 2019 if they hope to cast a ballot.
Discussions are already underway between the British and Spanish governments over voting rights in future town hall elections after Brexit, set for March 29, next year.
Expats cannot vote in regional or national elections, and once the UK leaves the European Union, the opportunity to vote for MEPs will also be lost.
