A GANG which has been attacking bank cash dispensers (ATMs) has struck twice more. This time they used either acetylene gas or explosives in attempts to get cash from bank branches in Algarrobo and Mijas early on Sunday in incidents which were barely an hour apart.
The first attempted robbery was on a Cajamar branch in Algarrobo where the alarm was raised at about 5am. However, it is believed they were unsuccessful and fled from the scene without taking any money from the machine.
