A total of 22 forged paintings purporting to be by Salvador Dalí, Antonio Saura, Joan Miró and Mariano Benlliure have been seized by National Police assigned to Valencia regional government.
They were going to be sold at auctions in Valencia and Barcelona and online.
According to the regional government, an investigation with National Police in Cataluña started in November 2023.
