A 50-YEAR-old American mother of two who lives in Benalmádena will be defending her title at the European Classic Cup powerlifting competition this weekend. She is also the women’s Spanish champion in her weight class, a title she earned earlier this year – just two years after taking up the sport.
Maria Repice is defending her European Classic Cup title at an event being held at Alhaurín de la Torre’s El Limón sports centre. It runs from Friday (December 2) to Sunday, starting at 10am each day and going until late into the evening on Friday and Saturday, and until 6.30pm on Sunday. Admission for spectators is free of charge.
