ANYBODY visiting Ibi on Monday could be forgiven for thinking the whole town had been afflicted by some kind of mass insanity as oddly dressed people took over the town hall and issued orders that nobody could move around in the sun or the shade or via the roofs or pavements.
To the uninitiated, it was December 28, the ‘Día de los Santos Inocentes’ (‘Day of the saint innocents’, the Spanish equivalent of April Fools) and the ‘Els Enfarinats’ took control of the town for a few hours as part of the annual winter fiestas.
