THIS valley, almost due east of Denia on the Costa Blanca coast, makes its first appearance as you pass Pego to the north and head towards Adsubia.
Once past this the walls of the valley close in and dramatic craggy walls hem you in before it starts to open up again and reveal the first of several unspoiled villages – Benirrama – which line the sides and bottom of the valley. This is perched high up on the left, blink and you might not notice it but there’s no avoiding Beniali which slows your progress just enough to notice the car park on the left as you arrive at the outskirts of the village.
