THIS is a well-signposted walk from the village of Benigembla up to the summit of Cocoll (1,048 metres). The route makes use of the PR-CV 427 short-distance footpath, with the walker being able to follow the white/yellow waymarks. The clear path traverses the predominantly open mountainside on a gradual ascent to the summit which is well marked by the large fire service observation tower on top. The views from the peak are expansive – over a large swathe of Alicante province and down to the coast. Park up opposite the walkboard on the road out of the village, heading towards Castell de Castells. This information panel gives details of the walk.
