A TOTAL of 113 eggs were found by swimmers in Castellón’s Serradal beach back in July. Of these, 32 were taken to be cared for by the Fundación Oceanogràfic, and the remaining 81 were taken to a monitored nest in El Saler – both in Valencia. Utmost care was taken with the eggs, as this was just the fifth time in 200 years that loggerhead turtle eggs were deposited on a beach of the Valencia region.
