EMIGRATION levels in Castellón province have bottomed out and are slowly reaching pre-crisis levels, official figures have revealed.
According to figures released by the national statistics institute (INE), the number of workers leaving Castellón to find employment elsewhere last year dropped to below half the figure for 2012, which reached 11,550.
And according to predictions by analysts, this year will see more people arriving than leaving.
Last year saw 5,080 workers leaving Castellón – 29% less than in 2014.
This is effectively the lowest figure of the last eight years and comes close to the 4,697 emigrants registered in 2008.
