TORREMOLINOS this evening launches its Fashion Weekend event, which this year is to feature one particularly red-hot runway show, with ‘bomberos’ from the provincial fire brigade taking to the catwalk for charity.
The Fashion Weekend, running from Friday to Sunday (April 15 to 17) in Plaza de la Nogalera, kicks off at 8pm tonight with a runway show featuring contestants of the Miss World Málaga pageant modelling fashions from 17 local shops.
The runway will rev up again on Saturday, beginning at noon with a children’s fashion show, followed at 5pm by a show featuring several emerging designers, and at 8pm with another show featuring men’s and women’s fashions from local shops.
But the catwalk will reach maximum heat at noon on Sunday when over 20 firefighters strut their stuff in a show to benefit the NGO Proem-Aid, an association of emergency workers who aid in rescuing refugees arriving in Lesbos, Greece.
