FORD announced late last week that it will transfer 90% of the production of the company’s new generation Ecoboost 2.0 and 2.3 motors to the USA as of 2022.
The announcement explained that the vast majority of these motors have to be shipped to North America to be installed in American vehicles, so manufacturing them in the same continent will ‘help improve our global manufacturing efficiency’.
