ONE person died and 17 others were injured in an explosion which rocked a resort town north of Barcelona at the weekend. The blast in a seven-storey residential block in Premià de Mar at 8.25am on Sunday has left three of the injured in a serious condition.
The explosion was traced to a second-floor apartment which was the home of the fatal victim. Over 20 families in the block, many of whom were asleep at the time, were evacuated along with residents of two neighbouring blocks.
