Andalucía’s first case of the zika virus was confirmed in Córdoba last week. A 62-year-old old woman, recently returned from America, is reported to have tested positive but did not need to be hospitalised. The infection, which is dangerous only in pregnant women, was confirmed by independent tests in Madrid and Granada.
