A disabled child in Ronda had her specially adapted €3,600 wheelchair stolen by thieves in the town last week. María José Ropero’s 7 year-old daughter, Yaiza, suffered from Rett’s syndrome, a rare disability that affects 1 in 10,000 female births. Her chair was taken from outside the family home on February 10. National police were able to find and arrest the alleged culprit, but the chair was found scrapped at a junkyard.
